Sometimes Life Passes you By

Sometimes life catches you off guard. At times it goes by so slowly that you can catch every second of each day. Then there are other times that go by too quickly and those are the moments that can take your breath away.

A few weeks ago I went home to see my grandparents as my grandfather hadn't been doing too well. Thankfully when I was up visiting, he was having better days than he had been. We had lunch together twice during my visit and I was able to tell him about my classes and how much I loved being in Florida and how much I loved him. Back to the Working World

I have been sorely lacking in the blog posts the past few weeks and as much as I say I will get better about writing, life just seems to get busier and busier. Since I came back from my mini vacation to the north polo, aka Allentown in February, I have jumped right back into the working world.

For the past few weeks, I have been working with ChukkerTV as their Director of Media and I absolutely love it. I was a little hesitant to take the full-time job when it was offered, partially because I had gotten used to having my own schedule and partially because I didn't know if I wanted to stay in the horse industry for work. But after the last few weeks, I can say that I definitely made the right choice. Read more at http://lfeinhorseheaven.blogspot.com/

No Place Like Home

Just like Dorothy said in The Wizard of Oz, there is no place like home. Last week I was able to go home for a few days and although it might not have been the best timing weather wise, it was still so nice to be home.

Mom and Bubby had just driven down to Ocala, and not many of the girls were home, so I didn't have too much running around to do. First stop when I got home was off to Grandma's house. Over the past few years, Grandpa has slowly been declining in health, but the last few weeks, has been rapidly getting worse. Hence my trip home. Read more at http://lfeinhorseheaven.blogspot.com/

Drag Queens and Impending Blizzards

Once again, it's been awhile. but this time I have good news. First off I can officially say that I have a full-time position with Chukker.TV as their social/digital manager.  They are a live stream polo company based on the Grand Champions Polo Club and I am very excited. I have been working with them part-time for the last few weeks, but once I get back from visiting PA next week, I will be starting full time. It has been a long few months of looking and waiting for the next thing to come along, but this was worth it. Read more at http://lfeinhorseheaven.blogspot.com/

WEF 2015 Has Arrived

Once again, I am very behind in my blog posts and my goal for the new year is to try to stay on top of them and blog once a week. I said goal.

Since the start of the year, everything has happened at once. I am still on the hunt for a job, but in the meantime, freelancing is keeping me busy. In addition to writing for Sidelines and Above the Rail, I have begun to work part-time for Anne Gittens, one of the horse show photographers.Read more at http://lfeinhorseheaven.blogspot.com/

Happy 2015 Everyone

It is hard to believe how fast 2014 went by, but thankfully it is over and a new year has started. Last year was filled with some amazing things and some not so amazing things. To start off this post, here is a quick recap of my 2014:

  • I turned 25 and had a mini meltdown over the fact that I was turning a quarter of a century old, but now that I think about, I will be 26 in a few weeks and that scares me even more. The fact that life is going by so quickly and I haven't done nearly half of what I want to (see the world, have a job I love, become a princess) joking on the last one, scares me to death.

Here is to Best Year Yet

As much as I love living in Florida, I love being able to go home to Pennsylvania for a few days and see my family even more. Last week I flew home to spend some time seeing everyone and enjoying the last few days of Hanukkah with my brothers and parents.  Even though I had the entire week at home, much more time than I usually do, I still spent the majority of it running around and trying to fit everything and everyone in. Another Year in The Life of Arianna Rachel Delin

Well, another year has gone by and I have to admit that I am getting old. haha. Turning 26 is not all it's cracked up to be, but then again, I didn't have a panic attack like I did last year. This time, I woke up and went right to the barn and spent my birthday morning on the back of a horse, as no one would expect anything less.

Back in college, when I thought about turning 26, I always thought I would have my life together by now. I thought I would have the dream job, be traveling the world, have the horse of my dreams and be possibly planning a wedding. Read more at http://lfeinhorseheaven.blogspot.com/

Deep-Fried Turkey and All The Fixings

This year was a very different Thanksgiving than what I am used to. Usually there is a loud bustle of everyone trying to get to the food at once, while aunts and uncles ask each cousin a million times how school/work is and 'let's catch up on life.' This year, there was very little of that. Instead of going home for Thanksgiving, I ended up spending the holiday in Florida with Joe and his family. Picking Up and Moving Forward

So there have been a lot of changes going on in the life of Ari. The main thing, is that I am no longer working for Phelps Media Group. It's taken me a bit to actually tell many people, but I am starting to figure out what I am doing with my life.

For the last two weeks or so, I have been freelancing with Above the Rail magazine, an online equine publication. Read more at http://lfeinhorseheaven.blogspot.com/

Halloween And a Quick Update on Life

So Halloween came a little early to West Palm this year, even if this blog post is being written a little late.

Last weekend Joe, Tiff and I went to Moon Fest in down West Palm. Our trio was definitely smaller than our group last year, but throughout the night we met up with more friends :) I'm not sure if it is just that I am getting older or that this year was just different. But there were not as many people out and about this year and thankfully, we didn't end up drinking as much. Read more at http://lfeinhorseheaven.blogspot.com/

Seeing the Solar Bears Up Close and Personal

In my last blog post, you heard all about how I jumped out of a plane. Well, my fun Saturday didn't stop there.

Since we were already in the Orlando area, Tiff, Joe and I went to the opening game of the Solar Bears. As described to me, they are a minor, minor league team, but we had so much fun. Erin, Tiff's best friend from Boston, now works for the Solar Bears and was able to get us free tickets for the game. Read more at http://lfeinhorseheaven.blogspot.com/

Guys... We Jumped Out Of A Plane!

Yes, to answer your question. I did jump out of a plane. Not metaphorically, but really. Like, wind rushing past your face, free-falling, jumped out of a plane. Do I have the pictures to prove it? No, but Joe does :)

It was a gorgeous day to go skydiving- not a cloud in the sky and 70 degrees or so. Tiff, Joe and I headed towards Orlando/Plant City around 10:30 so we could get to Jump Florida (where the skydiving was) by two. Read more at http://lfeinhorseheaven.blogspot.com/
